MY MORNING CUP OF COFFEE: - “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:16
BREATHE ON YOUR OWN - As I began to think on some recent choices and how the very people that encouraged me to follow my dream are no where to be found I am reminded of why spacecrafts take off with rockets instead of just ascending. Simply put, they rely on lift generated by interacting with the atmosphere and on using atmospheric oxygen to burn with fuel they carry. Orbits aren't stable until you are high enough that there aren’t enough atmospheres to interact with, and long before that the oxygen content drops too low to be useful. So, to get to a stable orbit, you will need rockets eventually. This is not a science lesson but, a simple reminder that to reach certain elevations in life, we need those rockets. However, once there, they may not have what is needed to remain in that place of orbit with you. Don’t be discouraged. Be thankful for the part they played. If you were to be honest you would have to admit that you may not be where you are if it wasn't for those very people. Begin to look at every relationship as a new rocket in my life. If or when they fall off, realize you are a little closer to a stable orbit. In other words able to make a sound decision on your own and stand on your own convictions without the need for individual cheerleaders. The goal is always to ascend high enough that there is no atmospheric interaction or in simpler terms, no distractions. So, before you dismiss those that have encouraged you along the way that have seemingly dropped off, check your oxygen content. I’m sure you will find you can BREATHE ON YOUR OWN and that the measure of every part is a much needed joint.
