MY MORNING CUP OF COFFEE – “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.” Isaiah 54:4

If in your childhood or times past you have been victimized, you may have a shame based nature. If you were raised to know right from wrong according to Gods word and have allowed yourself to do the opposite of all you knew, perhaps exploring, and have found yourself outside of the will of God, you too may have a shame based nature. It is impossible to name all the reasons one may feel shame, reproach, blame or even disgrace but the reality is God has rolled away the reproach. Whether the shame was caused by things you have put on yourself or things someone has done to you, God's grace is sufficient but, you must accept it. Grace is a free gift. Disgrace will tell you that you are not good or not worthy of God's love or help. Shame keeps us wanting to hide and not lift our heads with dignity. Deep down inside you may not like yourself. Know this; you can never deserve God's grace that's why it is a gift. Don't allow your negative thinking to keep you down on yourself. God's Grace and Mercy Endureth for ever and He is continuously looking for someone who will receive this gift. That someone is you if you will accept it. So today, lay it all DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE. Let it be washed away by His love. It's free and it's yours.
